CALCIUM SULPHATE (GYPSUM)

Calcium sulfate is a food additive used as an anti caking agent, dough conditioner and strengthener, flour treatment agent, pH regulator, thickener and yeast food. It is a white or white-yellow fine odorless powder. Due to its high calcium content (16-20%), calcium sulfate can also be used in flour fortification.

Hydrated Calcium Sulfate used to correct mineral deficiencies in brewing water.

  • Increase Calcium Content to create Hard Water.
  • Lowers Mash pH.
  • Used to promote a dry finish.
  • Will enhance hop bitterness.
